Open Requisitions metrics illuminate vacant positions within an organization. Org Charts help make open positions clear to groups of people within the company, encouraging existing employees to apply for the open position without leaving the company, and thereby facilitate promoting within. Requisitions metrics can also help management begin recruiting, planning compensation for a new hire, or monitor hiring trends.

Most organizations report requisition status as approved, pending or not approved.
